What is Agent?

Agent is your always-connected assistant in the ShowClix system. Built as a simple automation tool, Agent has a wide spectrum of possibilities.

At its core, Agent automates actions in your ShowClix account. Many of the options Agent offers are actions you can complete yourself (and probably do so regularly). The crucial difference is that Agent works automatically, which means that you have more time to take care of business for your event.

 

Each action Agent automates is called a task (found in the Agent menu in the Admin's main toolbar). Meanwhile, each task consists of two parts: a rule and an action.

 

Rules are the conditions that, when met, cause Agent to perform actions. These rules can currently include thresholds for ticket sales or page views on an event listing, as well as ticket scans.

 

Actions are the operations Agent does when a condition is achieved. Primarily in Agent's current version, actions consist of notifications, including customized emails, text messages and iOS push notifications.
