Facebook Pixel

Use Facebook Ad Tracking to measure the success of your Facebook advertising campaigns by integrating your tracking code with your ShowClix event listings.
 
To set up your Facebook tracking integration with ShowClix, please follow the instructions below:
 
Step 1 
Create a new Facebook Business account if you do not already have one:  
Step 2 
Set up Pixel ID if you have not yet created your Facebook Pixel code. If you have, please follow the "Find Pixel ID" section.
 
Set up Pixel ID
  • Login to Facebook Business Account > Choose your ad account > Choose “All Tools” from the drop down
  • Select “Set up Pixel”
  • Select "Copy and Paste the Code"
  • Copy the entire base code
  • Select "Next" after Step 1: Install Pixel Base Code
  • Select "Next" after Step 2: Install Event Code
    • Do not copy from Step 2
  • Select "Close"
 
Find Pixel ID
  • Log in to Facebook Business Account  
  • Select "Choose your ad account"
  • Select "All Tools"
  • Select "Pixels"
  • Select “Actions”
  • Select “View Pixel Code”
 
Step 3 
Implement the entire base code you copied in Step 2 on all pages of your website. Then retrieve your Facebook Pixel ID number:
  • Copy only your Pixel ID from the Pixel Base Code that your copied in Step 2
    • Ex: Copy “1454382950987706”


Step 4
Once you have your Pixel ID, you will need to place it on your ShowClix event listings:
  • Login to ShowClix Admin > Marketing > Marketing Accounts > Facebook Pixel
  • Enter the Facebook Pixel ID
  • Select “Save”


To track conversions, you have to tell Facebook what you consider to be a conversion. There are two ways to do so:
 
Option 1 will be for those who are running ads for a single event inside their Facebook ad account.
 
Option 2 will be for those who are running ads to multiple events inside their Facebook ad account who want to keep track of event ticket sales separately.
 
Please note, Facebook only allows a maximum of 40 Custom Conversions per account.
 
Step 5 - Option 1
Create a general Custom Conversion for ticket sales in your Facebook Ad account:
  • Login to Facebook Business Account > Choose your ad account > All Tools > Custom Conversions
  • Select “Create Custom Conversion”
  • Rule should read “URL Contains” and fill in “receipt”
  • Choose a Category, “Purchase”

  • Select “Next”
  • Name: Enter “ShowClix Ticket Sales”
  • Do not select “Set a conversion value”
  • Select “Create”
 
 
Step 5 - Option 2 
Create Custom Conversions in your Facebook ad account to track a specific event’s ticket sales separately. For example, if you have 5 events running from the same ad account, you will want to create 5 conversions:
  • Log in to Facebook Business Account > Choose your ad account > Tools > Custom Conversions
  • Select “Create Custom Conversion”
  • Change Rule from “URL Contains” to “Event”
  • It will ask you to "Select an Event," Choose “Purchase”
  • Click on "Choose a Parameter" field and select “content_ids”
  • Contains: enter your ShowClix Event ID
    • The ShowClix Event ID can be found in your ShowClix admin account by clicking the Events tab in the top Navigation
  • Choose a Category, “Purchase”
  • Select “Next”
  • Do not select “Set a conversion value”
  • Select “Create”
