Travel Options FAQ (ParkWhiz and Uber)

Made possible through our partnerships with ParkWhiz and Uber, your customers will now be able to access travel options that make getting to and from events easier (in participating cities).

 

What is ParkWhiz?

ParkWhiz is a company that partners with parking facilities to provide pre-paid parking for customers. For ShowClix event organizers, the ParkWhiz widget uses the postal address information for your venues to determine nearby parking options.

 

 

How do I offer ParkWhiz to my customers?

ParkWhiz is enabled on your events by default.

 

(The ParkWhiz widget can be hidden by accessing Venue Settings for a particular venue, or the widget can be hidden from a specific event by accessing that event's Advanced Settings.

 

To disable ParkWhiz for your entire account, visit your Organization Settings, and then in Default Advanced Settings, select to hide the ParkWhiz option.)

 

Where can customers find the ParkWhiz widget for my venue?

The ParkWhiz widget appears on the final page of the checkout process after tickets have been ordered. Additionally, a link to ParkWhiz is included in the email receipt, as well as the event reminder email we deliver within 24 hours of your event.

 

What can I do if there aren't any parking options displayed for my venue?

Contact your Account Manager, who can reach out to ParkWhiz and find more information about offering pre-paid parking for your customers.

 

What is Uber?

Uber is a rideshare and taxi service app that helps people find rides by sending ride requests to available Uber drivers. With the ShowClix promotional code, a passenger can receive up to $20.00 off their first ride.

 

How do I offer Uber to my customers?

The Uber promotion through ShowClix is available by default.

 

(The link to Uber can be hidden on an event-by-event basis by accessing Advanced Settings for a particular event.

 

To disable the Uber link for your entire account, visit your Organization Settings and then in Default Advanced Settings​, select to hide the Uber option.

 

Where can customers find the Uber promotional offer for my event?

The link to the Uber promotion appears on the final page of the checkout process after tickets have been ordered. Additionally, a link to Uber is included in the email receipt, as well as the event reminder email we deliver within 24 hours of your event.

 

What if a customer already has an Uber account?

The Uber promotion through ShowClix is only currently available for new riders.
